After transferring to Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where she studied for a year, she eventually quit and returned to Canada where her modeling career began to become busy. Shelley Sweeney began to star in many other blockbuster Godzilla films such as Godzilla Final Wars (2004). Before finding success in securing roles through the Godzilla franchise, she found her first acting gig from a friend who was a famous actor in Japan when offering her to do a movie with him which was called King’s Fire Play.
