Hayao Miyazaki Film director. In 1978, he made his debut as a director with the NHK anime “Future Boy Conan”. In 1979, he became the director of the animated film Lupine the Third: Cagliostro’s Castle. In 1984, “Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” became a huge hit and established the genre of Miyazaki animation. Since then, he has released many big hits such as “Spirited Away” and “Ponyo on the Cliff”.*
